Deborah is French, but has been living in Los Angeles since the age of 15. As a child growing up in Paris, Deborah was exposed to some of the best museums and architecture in the world. After graduating from high school, Deborah took a leap year in Israel to further her knowledge of the arts and architecture through the history and culture of the small country. Surprisingly enough, it was only after moving to the United States that Deborah realized that being an artist and designer was a possibility. She was set to follow the lead of the “American Dream.”
Deborah graduated with honors in Interior Design from FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in the fall of 2011 where she learned all the fundamentals skills for commercial and residential design. During the past six years, Deborah has been interning and working in the design business to get the best experience possible. For two years, she was an interior designer’s assistant for a French designer who worked for some of the biggest French celebrities such as Christian Audigier and Johnny Hallyday. Deborah has also free-lanced designing custom furniture and interiors in the Los Angeles area. She is now working as a junior designer for one of the top interior design firms in Los Angeles.
However, in addition to her Interior Design experience, Deborah has an immense passion for event planning and has offered event planning and decoration services for small private events, as well as bigger ones for the last 5 years. After getting amazing feedbacks from every one of her clients, friends, and family she realized it was time to create her own L.A. based event design company; that is how DKD (DeborahKDesigns) came to life.
Deborah can never have enough creative outlets. She thrives to learn more about design every day, and is determined to succeed so she can offer the best possible services to her future clients. Her style is unique, chic, and sophisticated which reflects Deborah’s European background while adding an extra magic touch that you will find irresistible.
